I am writing to provide an important update regarding your upcoming scuba training with Aquatic Adventures LLC. To ensure we continue providing the highest quality instruction and modern digital platforms, we are transitioning our primary certification agency to Scuba Diving International (SDI).
What This Means For You:

• Upgraded Materials: You will receive access to the SDI e-Learning platform at no extra cost.
• Same Expert Instruction: Your progress and sessions remain on schedule with our veteran-led team.
• Communication: You may receive automated messages from PADI regarding previous codes. Please be advised that Aquatic Adventures LLC is managing all material swaps internally. Direct all questions to us at 915-694-4430; any third-party requests for your info should be declined.

We are pleased to announce that Michael Robison has achieved the rating of Course Director Instructor Trainer. As a result, Aquatic Adventures LLC is now authorized to train and certify diving professionals from entry-level Divemaster through Course Director.This milestone significantly expands our professional development capabilities and allows candidates to complete their entire leadership and instructor pathway locally.

Upcoming Course Director CourseAquatic Adventures LLC will be hosting an upcoming Course Director Course, scheduled to begin on 12 February 2026.

• Confirmed candidates: 3 Course Director candidates
• Additional professional development for 2026:
  • 5 Divemaster candidates
  • 4 Instructor candidates

This represents one of the most comprehensive professional training pipelines currently available in the region.

Qualifications of GraduatesCourse Director CourseUpon successful completion of the Course Director Course, graduates may:

1. Conduct the Instructor Development Course (IDC) portion of the Scuba Diving International (SDI) Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor (OWSDI) program
2. Conduct the SDI Non-Diving Specialty Instructor Course
3. Certify SDI Instructors, Assistant Instructors, and Non-Diving Specialty Instructors for SDI specialties in which they hold instructor ratings
4. Conduct administrative professional crossovers
5. Attend an Instructor Trainer Workshop

Note: Certain Specialty Instructor ratings require minimum student numbers before Instructor Trainer status is granted. Course Directors may not conduct the Instructor Evaluation Course (IEC) portion of the SDI OWSDI program.

Instructor Development Course (IDC) & Individual EvaluationUpon successful completion of the IDC and Individual Evaluation, graduates may teach the following SDI courses:

1. Open Water Scuba Diver
2. Inactive Diver / Refresher
3. Advanced Adventure Diver
4. Computer Diver Specialty
5. Rescue Diver
6. Divemaster

Divemaster Course PrivilegesUpon successful completion of the SDI Divemaster Course, graduates may:

1. Assist active SDI Instructors during approved training programs, provided activities align with prior training
2. Supervise and conduct dives for certified divers, including specialized diving activities for which they are trained
3. Plan and execute emergency procedures appropriate to the diving environment and operational activities

This advancement reinforces Aquatic Adventures LLC’s commitment to professional excellence, leadership development, and high-standard instructor training, while eliminating the need for candidates to travel outside the region for advanced professional certifications.

We are pleased to announce that Aquatic Adventures LLC and Viking Dives are now home to two newly appointed Instructor Trainers—the only Instructor Trainers serving this region, from Dallas, Texas west to Phoenix, Arizona, and north to Grand Junction, Colorado. As a result, both facilities are now recognized as 5-Star Professional Development Centers, allowing us to train and certify scuba instructors locally. This expansion enables divers to complete their professional-level training and instructor certifications without the need to travel outside the region, reinforcing our commitment to accessibility, quality instruction, and professional excellence.

Lets Congratulate our founder on becoming a TDI/SDI Course Director! He is on his way to becoming an Instructor Trainer hopefully by the end of the year! Hello, today one of our owners/Instructors is heading to Ft Lauderdale to attend the Course Directors Course for TDI/SDI.  This is the beginning of an adventure! We Look forward to being able to Train Instructors and becoming a 5 Star Education Center.

Hello All, 

Been a While since we posted on here. But we have been busy here with over 100+ Certifications this summer, and 70+ left to finish! But we will be at DEMA this year. We are constantly growing and training! We are pleased to say that we have had lots of positive comments and ratings with our customers! We have trained the Buffalo Trails Scout Ranch summer camp this summer. We did become a Boy Scout of America Vendor, meaning we can train any BSA Troop or counsel! We have trained lots of first responders, military, and civilians. We do hope to continue to grow, and help provide El Paso and the surrounding areas with SCUBA training and 5 STAR training... Which coincidentally we are proud to announce we are about to apply for our PADI 5 Star Center certification!
