Dive Master and Assistant Instructor Bundle
Have you ever wanted to continue your Diving experiences into the professional realm, but don't know if you want to be a full time or part time instructor? You also don't just want to be and extra hand, and would like to teach some things you are passionate about?
Here is a chance to do both and save money. This course is designed to take you from a rescue diver through Dive Master and into being an Assistant Instructor.
This is a self-paced intern type program, that will help build you as a dive professional while under the tutelage of experienced Instructors, Course Directors, and Instructor Trainers.
This program will provide you with the opportunity to get the experience and dives you need if you want to take that next step in becoming an Open Water Instructor. It will also give you teaching experiences beyond just doing Scuba Discovery Diving programs.
SDI Divemaster Certification
The SDI Divemaster course offers divers the chance to ascend to the professional ranks of diving, providing them with comprehensive skills in dive leadership, safety management, and underwater guidance, thereby opening doors to a rewarding career in the dive industry.
SDI Assistant Instructor
The SDI Assistant Instructor Course is designed to build on the SDI Divemaster Program by gaining practical teaching experience, learning to prepare lesson plans, and give academic presentations. You will work with an instructor to gain experience teaching before moving on to the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor level. Once you complete the Specialty Instructor training with a qualified SDI Instructor Trainer, you can become qualified to teach several SDI Specialty Diver courses.
EXPERIENCE
The experience you will gain while working with Open Water Scuba Diving Instructors, Course Directors, and Instructor Trainers while being able to learn to teach.
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may:
- Teach and certify students in the SDI Snorkeling Course
- Conduct the SDI Inactive Diver/Refresher Course
- Conduct the knowledge quest review in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course under the guidance of an active SDI Instructor
- Assist an active SDI Instructor during approved diving courses, provided the activities are similar to the graduate’s prior training
- Supervise and conduct dives for certified divers provided the activities are similar to the graduate’s prior training
- Teach approved specialties after receiving Instructor Training in those specialties
