This course is intended to teach users about bloodborne pathogens. It can be combined with other First Response Training International first aid courses that do not have bloodborne pathogens as a component.
Upon successful completion of this course graduates may:
1. Identify possible sources of infection.
2. Use appropriate levels of personal protection equipment to address possibly infectious materials.
3. Dispose of and clean areas with possibly infected materials.
It is important that the student understands that a requalification course is required every 2 years.
