Course Director Course
The SDI Course Director Course is the first module of SDI’s Instructor Trainer (IT) Development Program. This course trains candidates to conduct the SDI Instructor Development Course (IDC) independently and is designed for experienced dive professionals aiming to advance their teaching careers in scuba diving education.
Key Features of the Course:
Training: Candidates learn to conduct the IDC and the SDI Non-Diving Specialty Instructor Course, as well as specialty ratings for SDI Instructors and Assistant Instructors.
Skills Development: The course includes hands-on teaching practice, evaluation techniques, and management of the learning process.
Prerequisites: Candidates must provide proof of 200 logged dives, be active SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Instructor or equivalent for a minimum of 2 years, and have issued a minimum of 150 SDI certifications.
Certification: Upon successful completion, graduates are qualified to conduct the IDC and issue specialty ratings for SDI Instructors and Assistant Instructors.
This course is taught either:
- ALL in person, Or
- Virtually for the Academics and IN person for in Water Presentations and assessment.
